The first week of The Who’s Tommy at the Lake Worth Playhouse has come to a close and now we are busily preparing for week 2. The story of a deaf, dumb and blind boy’s journey from pain to triumph is a sensory-defying rock and roll experience that brought over 800 guests to their feet after each show. Tickets for the second weekend are already flying out the doors and the awesome reviews are pouring in:
4 stars “If you like The Who, you’ll love this (4 stars for me because I wasn’t so familiar with the music and it was a bit outside of my box). Excellent local production, great staging and lighting design. Theater is very small, so every seat is a good seat. :)”
5 stars “Very well done production with special effects.”
4 stars “I was pleasantly surprised at the caliber of the performers. The band was awesome; the singers very very good. I would have given 5 stars but at times it was difficult to hear the person on stage. It certainly brought back great memories.”
“Open through July 26th, The Who’s Tommy is a must have experience at Lake Worth Playhouse.”
